To mark the World Cancer Day, Medicaid Cancer Foundation joined Project Pink Blue for a 5km awareness walk promoting early detection and offering 25% discounts on Mammogram, Pap smear and PSA screenings.
The walk was ensued by a symposium themed “Addressing Cancer & Financial Toxicity”. Our team joined key stakeholders to discuss a critical issue: “To Buy Food or Fund Cancer Treatment? Inflation, Financial Toxicity & The Cancer Health Fund.”
Key conversations centered around the financial burden of cancer care and need for sustainable funding and policy reforms.
A major highlight of the event was the premiere of the documentary, Blood in My Stool – a deeply emotional film featuring the experiences of two cancer survivors.
