WORLD CANCER DAY 2025; United by Unique

For over a decade, Medicaid Cancer Foundation have been at the forefront of cancer advocacy, awareness, and care, reaching communities through outreaches, support programs, screenings, and education. This year’s theme “United by Unique” reminds us that while no two cancer experiences are the same, we are united in the fight against it.

As part of our mission to eliminate cancer, Medicaid Cancer Foundation launched innovative campaigns that blended awareness, advocacy, and support ensuring equitable access to cancer care for all.

Cancer Awareness and Education (School Advocacy Program) - 800 Voices United by Unique

Medicaid Cancer Foundation marked the World Cancer Day by reaching out to 850 girls at Regina Pacis College with vital cancer education. Key topics included; Early detection and prevention of breast and cervical cancer, the importance of self-breast exams and the life-saving role of the HPV vaccine.

Our CEO, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, joined via Zoom inspiring the girls to become future advocates. These young champions pledged to spread awareness, encourage vaccinations, and stand as champions in the fight against  cancer within their communities.
