Women Deliver is the largest gathering of women for amplifying gender representation and women’s health.
The Founder and CEO of Medicaid Cancer Foundation, H.E Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu led a team to attend the conference being held for the first time in Africa, specifically Kigali, Rwanda.
We will be attending and moderating several sessions related to women’s health, diagnosis and cancer.
Successful Pre conference meetings were held with partners such as Procter and Gamble, GHIAC, Girl Effect and Elekta Foundation.
Dr Bagudu, a board member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), will be moderating a session co hosted by UICC, Gavi and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The session “A Future Without Cervical Cancer: Engaging Communities for HPV Vaccination”, aims to capitalize on the growing momentum behind the cervical cancer elimination agenda. It will delve into recent paradigm shifts, such as the World Health Organization’s endorsement of a single-dose recommendation for the HPV vaccine. Speakers with vast experience will reiterate the need for collective action and engagement across global health, women’s rights, and the cancer community.
