Medicaid Cancer Foundation participated in a 3-day event in Kano commemorating World Cancer Day. The event organized by the Office of the SSA to Kano State Government on Women Education featured;
- A 5KM walk from Emir’s Palace to Government House Coronation Hall
- A lecture and panel discussion on Breast and Cervical cancer.
- Free breast and cervical cancer screening for 880 women at the Kano Cancer Treatment Centre
The event drew notable attendees; Representatives of the Executive Governor of Kano State and the Emir of Kano, Honorable Commissioner of Health and Special Adviser Health to Kano State Governor. Our Founder, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu delivered a keynote speech, emphasizing the Foundation’s advocacy for increased funding, improved diagnostics, and enhanced treatment options.
