Walk Away Cancer
On October 28, 2023, thousands of people gathered in Abuja, Nigeria, for the Walk Away Cancer event. The event was a resounding success, raising awareness of cancer and funds for cancer research and support services.
Participants of all ages and backgrounds came together to show their support for those affected by cancer. Some were cancer survivors themselves, while others were walking in honor of loved ones who had been diagnosed with the disease.
The walk began at 2 Libreville Street, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, and wound its way through the city streets. Participants were dressed in vibrant pink, blue, and white kits, and the air was filled with the sound of laughter and camaraderie.
At the finish line, participants were greeted with food, drinks, and live music. The event also featured a number of speakers, including cancer survivors and healthcare professionals.
The Walk Away Cancer event was a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of the human spirit. It showed that even in the face of a devastating disease, there is hope and support to be found.
